Sales, Return & Store Policies
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, debit cards, money orders and bank checks. Sorry, No credit is available for purchases.
Checks are accepted for the amount of purchase only with at least two (2) forms of identification. Checks must also have your name and address printed on the check. Returned checks will be charged a processing fee of $25.00, plus associated bank fees.
Returns or exchanges are accepted within fifteen (15) days or as noted below.
No returns without the sales receipt.
The items must be new and unopened in their original packaging.
Items that are sold as used are “as is” and are non returnable. Labor for us to repair the items is not part of this agreement. If you would like us to repair, we charge a flat rate of $25.00 for the work on the vehicle up to one hour; it is $20.00 for every additional hour.
Items that were shipped to the buyer will be accepted for return within fifteen (15) days. The buyer will pay for the return postage, and the original postage will not be refunded. Please call for approval before returning the item.
Items that were purchased by check will be refunded by check after a seven (7) day check clearing time (in State of Maine only). Items purchased by credit card will be refunded back to that card.
Models may be held for a customer at the store personnel’s discretion. In some instances, many models become limited stock from Suppliers and require a waiting period to receive. Items being held will still be displayed unless a layaway plan is put in place. Please see our layaway policy below.
Special orders are welcome, we will ask for a down payment of 50% of the items prices to place the order. Once the order is received notification will be provided and the balance due will need to be paid within 30 days from receipt of notice. In the event the full payment is not made in this 30 day period, parts will be placed in our inventory and the down payment will be non-refundable. All special orders are the Customers responsibility to ensure that the proper number was ordered, we will not accept the responsibility if the wrong part is ordered and we revert back to the above terms if the customer does not want this part.
You may request a cancellation of your order, provided your order has not already been processed and shipped. Please call during our business hours to cancel your order. Do not cancel orders by e-mail as we may not receive it in time. Once the order is placed, the store personnel may be able to offer some return fees depending on re-stocking charges due to the popularity of the parts.
Items may be placed on layaway with one-third (1/3) of the purchase price down and the remainder is due within two (2) months. Layaway items not picked up at the end of the two (2) month period may be returned to stock and any payments already made will not be refunded.
We do accept items for consignment. Our consignment fee is 20% of the asking price. See a sales associate for more information. We do not accept trades for product.
We charge a flat rate of $25.00 for working on a vehicle up to one hour; it is $20.00 for every additional hour. We strive to repair vehicles as quickly as possible, in most cases, depending on part availability they are usually ready and returned within a week. Once notification is made informing the vehicle is repaired, we expect prompt pick up and payment for parts and services. In the event the unit is not picked up in two weeks from notification, we will issue a formal letter to the address we are given. After 30 days from this notification, if vehicle is not picked up and paid for, we reserve the right to sell the vehicle for the balance due and the Owner of the vehicle will not receive the vehicle and/or compensation.
Granite Leisure Time makes all efforts of the accuracy of the information published on our website. However, the documents and graphics published on this site may contain technical, typographical and/or other inaccuracies or errors. Granite Leisure Time will alter these once we become aware and/or notified. We apologize and will not be held responsible for any damages and at our option can refuse and cancel any orders and/or sale based upon these errors.
If a product carries a warranty and requires service, those claims are usually handled between you and the manufacturer. Missing parts and/or hardware from opened kits and parts bags must also be obtained from the manufacturer. Store personnel will be happy to help you locate a manufacturer and/or service center.
Car parts, electric motors and speed controls, and batteries are subject to varied service requirements by customers, so most broken parts are considered normal wear and are not covered by manufacturer’s warranty. Fast charging and heat build-up in batteries can cause cell damage or cell case separation and are not covered by warranty.
Some of our Manufacturers prefer you to deal with us in person while we contact them by phone. Please consult our Store Personnel for assistance with questions. Below we have listed some of the warranty periods for some of our product line.
Some of our product line also has different lengths of warranty; you should fill out your registration information for future use and determine the warranty guidelines. The majority of this information relating to the warranty is in the packages for the purchased products. Please consult our Store Personnel if this information is not in the package and/or if you have additional questions.
