About Us

In the summer of 2008 we began a new hobby as a family. We started with hobby cars and trucks and built a private race track for electric and nitro powered vehicles. Our collection of vehicles grew from quarter scale vehicles right down to 1/36th scale vehicles. We also got into helicopters, planes and boats, with an array of many parts. In late October we were introduced to The RC Hobby Shop in Fairfield, Maine, which also had an Annex at Giordano’s Campground in Winslow, Maine. We decided to purchase The RC Hobby Shop; hence Granite Leisure Time was established in November of 2008.

We are located at 85 High Street in Oakland, Maine. We carry a variety of ready to run vehicles, kits and parts from many Manufacturers’.
